Santroll

On April 24th, 11 new members of the TJU Santroll Peiyang Robotics Team visited Santroll to launch a new phase of corporate field study and practice. With the theme of “Exploring Frontier Technology and Learning Engineering Experience,“the students immersed themselves in the intelligent manufacturing site to experience the charm of high-end mechanical R&D and precision manufacturing at close range. Through this real-world study, they broadened their professional horizons, accumulated practical knowledge, and built up growth momentum, successfully completing this exploratory journey.

The Santroll representative expressed a warm welcome to the returning students of the Peiyang Robotics Team and focused on Santroll's core business and R&D manufacturing advantages. As an industry benchmark that has deeply cultivated the electric drive field for many years, Santroll not only holds multiple qualifications such as National High-Tech Enterprise, Tianjin "Specialized, Refined, Differential, and Innovational" (SRDI) Small and Medium-sized Enterprise, National Enterprise Intellectual Property Pilot Unit, and Tianjin Innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprise, but has also passed numerous international standard certifications including AS9100D, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, UL, and TUV. The company solidifies the quality foundation of its products with rigorous standards and has achieved fruitful results through its dedicated work in the field of drive system technology.

These solid qualifications and technical accumulations have built a direct and multi-dimensional understanding of the machinery and intelligent manufacturing industries for the junior students. They also allowed the students to deeply realize the close connection between academic knowledge and industrial development, laying a solid foundation for school-enterprise collaborative education.


During the session, students actively shared their academic progress and their experiences in scientific and technological innovation practices within the Robotics Team. Considering the academic characteristics of freshmen and sophomores, the corporate instructors provided targeted explanations on the industrial applications of mechanical engineering knowledge. They highlighted the extensive application fields of Santroll's core products—electric drive controllers and key components of hairpin motors—covering electric aviation, electric construction machinery, electric motorcycles, electric bicycles, electric scooters, electric marine vessels, and rail transit maintenance equipment. By combining abstract professional theories with real-world application scenarios in various fields, the session was filled with valuable insights and interactive Q&A. This gave everyone a clearer direction for their professional studies and future development, while allowing students to see the broad application prospects and significant value of the mechanical engineering major in industrial upgrading.

This visit was tailored to the learning pace of freshmen and sophomores, focusing on the core links of corporate R&D and manufacturing. it allowed everyone to step beyond textbooks and face industrial realities, breaking down the barriers between classroom theory and industrial production. The students visited the machining, SMT, motor, and electronic control workshops in sequence, showing particular interest in the testing center and motor workshop while actively asking questions. By observing the rigorous process of a product moving from R&D testing to mass production at close range, the originally abstract professional knowledge became intuitive and easy to understand. The students also deeply realized that a solid professional foundation is the essential key to practical engineering operations.

After the visit, both sides held a summary symposium where students enthusiastically shared what they had seen and felt during the field study, speaking freely about their abundant gains and true inspirations. One student remarked with emotion: "At this stage, I have been following my seniors to polish my professional foundation, and I always felt that textbook knowledge was distant and abstract. After entering Santroll and facing real machining and R&D scenarios, I truly understood the significance of foundational learning, and I have become more determined to dive deep into my major and master my skills."
